Before you continue I highly recommend that you first have a battle plan in place. It's by no means a prerequisite — but it'll help with clarity.
You need to have clear and defined goals — and "the battleplan" does just that. Click here to create your battle plan.
Moving along …
This is the basics of the Affiliate Bully system I showed Mark — which took him from ZERO to $500 PER DAY in just 7 weeks. It's the same system that can take you from zero to $200 per day in the next 30 days or so.
Step 1 – ClickBank
Go to the ClickBank Marketplace and scan the categories that you KNOW money is being spent in. This is not rocket science stuff.
If you are not already a ClickBank affiliate — sign up here. It's free.
One problem with manually browsing the ClickBank Marketplace is that their search feature if not very intuitive. Sure — it's free — but you can get lost in there for HOURS!
I use CBengine Pro. It's a ClickBank Marketplace product finder and analysis tool. I love it. It helps me to identify hot products very quickly. But it's a paid tool. Pro membership will set you back $39.95 for a year ($37 for lifetime membership).
If you don't want to pony up the cash — you can also use CBtrends.com or CB-Analytics.com — both being free web-based tools. Although they don't have the sophistication of CBengine Pro — they still work pretty well.
Here are some market and niche ideas:
- Weight Loss Market — Which supports a ton of sub-niches. Lose Belly Fat, Get Killer Abs, Etc…
- Breaking Bad Habits — Like Stop Smoking, Stop Nail Biting, Etc…
- Make Money (within the IM niche) — AdWords, PPC, SEO, Social Media, Etc…
- Make Money (outside of the IM niche) — Paid Surveys, Forex, Stock Trading, Betting, Etc…
- Hobby Niches — Golf, Word of Warcraft, Piano/Guitar Playing, Etc…
- Health Problems — Acne, Sweating, Yeast Infection, Anxiety, Etc…
All of these niches are BILLION dollar markets. You could pick any one of the above and make a good 6 figure a year income as an affiliate.
Products in the ClickBank Marketplace are ranked — meaning that the big sellers are at the top of the pile.
There are three metrics you want be looking at:
- $Earned/Sale
- %Referred
- Gravity
Ideally you want the $Earned/Sale value to be above $30. You want the %Referred value to be above 50%. And you want the Gravity to be above 30.
The "gravity" is a cool metric to eyeball. It means affiliates are promoting and sales are being made. Simple as that.
Now pick one. Then move on.
Step 2 – Create a Presell Page
No direct linking. Forget about that.

You want to create a landing page and "presell" the product you're promoting. The key is to tell a great story and frame it to comply with the worldview of your audience.
In a nutshell — customers tell themselves "lies" (stories) to justify their actions. We all do it. I do it … and so do you.
Marketers who can find the bias and lies people tell themselves — and create a story fitting that worldview — can generate sales all day long. Stories motivate people to take action when done right.

If you've never read All Marketers Are Liars by Seth Godin — then you are missing out. Go to Amazon and get it now. It's dynamite!
Your story should warm the prospect up about the solution you've discovered. Don't make the mistake of telling a story that just blatantly SELLS. (That's what the merchant's sale page is for.)
People are looking for solutions.
So the product you're promoting has to deliver on its promise and produce results. Demonstrate to them that they'll get that solution/result from the product you're promoting — and you'll make that sale almost every time.
Step 3 – Domain Name & Hosting
Get a domain name. Get hosting. Upload your presell page. Nothing complicated here.
If you are not technical in anyway, just pay an outsourcer $20 to do this for you.
Step 4 – Tracking
You NEED tracking!
It's critical. Good tracking is normally the difference between a marketer that keeps losing money — and a marketer that crushes most campaigns.
I use Conversion Prophet. I use it because I believe it's the best. It tracks sales conversions on a per keyword phrase level — meaning it tracks affiliate sales and "associates" them to the actual keywords that produced those sales.
Genius!
Don't even consider running a campaign with no keyword-level tracking. Get Conversion Prophet or an equivalent tool.
Step 5 – Keywords
Get some general (although still targeted) keyword phrases from Google's Keyword Tool or the free Wordtracker tool.
Group them into a few small tightly focused keyword channels or groups. I'll share with you a bit later a killer tool that I use to massively speed this process up.
Also create a negative keyword list. This is a list of keywords that you do not want your ads to be shown for.
Step 6 – Google AdWords
Send traffic to your presell page using Google AdWords. For now — forget about SEO. Forget about using article marketing. Forget about the Web 2.0 social media hype.
Just focus on "buying" traffic. It's instant, predictable and controllable.
Create two ads for each of your ad groups. Set the destination URL as your presell page. And turn off the content network — for now. (This is something you should turn on a little later and test — from within its own campaign.)
Now go live!
Step 7 – Monitor Results
Conversion Prophet will tell you which of your keywords are generating sales — and which aren't. Delete the non-performers. Keep the rest. It's simple if you use the right tool.
Step 8 – Repeat
Repeat all of the above every day or week. The key is to be consistent.
If you don't like doing one of the things above, you can just outsource it. Other than writing your presell copy — you can pretty much outsource everything you don't want to do yourself.
